Sloan-Mohr Monument Company was founded in 1886 by the Sloan-Mohr family from Sigourney, Iowa. The oldest family-owned business in Keokuk County, it was then purchased in May of 2020 by Ike Schmidt. Carl Mohr, the founder's grandson, was part of the business for almost 50 years. Ike worked and trained under Carl until he later purchased the business. Ike continues to serve you in
the same tradition as the Sloan-Mohr family.

When setting your stone, Ike has kept all of the same traditions as the Sloan-Mohr family did. Keeping with tradition, Ike utilizes Sloan-Mohr's original equipment, integrating new tools to streamline the experience. Sloan-Mohr works closely with the design team to make all of your ideas possible. The main focus and concern is always you. No matter what stone you order, you will always have our attention during this sensitive time.
